ALI Group SA Broker of the Year 2020

ALI Group SA Broker of the Year 2020

ALI Group Broker of the Year 2020

South Australia

ALI Group’s annual Broker of the Year events have officially begun around the nation. The annual awards were established in 2014 to recognise and celebrate authorised brokers who are excelling in protecting more Australian home and property buyers with Loan Protection Plan (LPP).

In South Australia, ALI brought together 27 of the top brokers and aggregator partners for a two-course dinner in the Immersion Longhouse in Adelaide Zoo, where the room shares a glass wall with the tiger enclosure. As an incredible after dinner treat, the guests enjoyed a tiger feeding experience and then shared a large Haigh’s chocolate slab for dessert.

ALI Group CEO Huy Truong, SA State Manager Fiona Gray and BDM Peter Kelly presented the SA Broker of the Year award to Leah Busby of Blackfish Finance, whose solid process and commitment to her customers has seen her protect an incredible 600 clients with ALI’s protection products, and many more through working with an in-house financial planner.

The SA Emerging Broker of the Year award went to Choice broker, Rachel Slekenics of Low Rate Home Loans, who became authorised in January 2019. From the outset, Rachel has hit the ground running to protect her clients with LPP and has become a great example for other brokers who come on board with ALI.

Whilst the event was to honour both the South Australian Broker of the Year and Emerging Broker of the Year, it was also a night of appreciation for the top brokers in the state. State Manager, Fiona Gray addressed the room to congratulate and showcase the great work brokers do in protecting their clients.

Fiona cited MFAA’s Industry Intelligence Survey, which states South Australian brokers write more loans per broker than other state or territory.

“ALI, together with our broker partners, make a difference for thousands of home and property buyers every year. For some, it’s just by giving them the peace of mind having cover and for others it’s because we’ve paid a claim when they needed it most. For us who work at ALI, we hear about the claims almost on a daily basis. Whilst some can be gut wrenching, conversely, it is somewhat rewarding when we pick up the phone to share with the relevant broker that we’ve been able to make a difference in the life of their client”, said Fiona.

ALI would like to say thank you to all of the SA brokers who make the protection offering an important part of their process. We look forward to another great year, working side by side with brokers.
