Media Release - ALI and their brokers volunteer to Help Kids Under Cover
24 March 2015 – Australian loan and mortgage protection specialist, ALI Group, along with their authorised brokers in Victoria will be switching their focus from home loans to cubby houses to support Kids Under Cover’s Cubby House Challenge at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIFGS).
The Cubby House Challenge brings together members of the building industry to design, build and decorate bespoke cubby houses. Six cubby houses will be on display at the MIFGS for public viewing and subsequent auction to raise funds to support Kids Under Cover’s work in preventing youth homelessness.
The team of 10 volunteers, including ALI staff and brokers from Loan Market and Aussie Home Loans, will be encouraging MIFGS attendees to interact with the cubby houses, as well as selling raffle tickets and pins – the proceeds of which will go toward Kids Under Cover’s innovative studio accommodation and scholarship and mentor programs.
“We’re excited to have this opportunity to support Kids Under Cover, who like us, strongly believe in the importance of a secure home and preventing hardships” said Gabrielle Moscati, ALI Group’s Regional Manager in Victoria.
“I cannot wait to work alongside our brokers who have eagerly and generously offered their time” said Ms Moscati.
One volunteer is Liz Antonellos from Loan Market, “what a great cause, I look forward to raising awareness and being part of a wonderful day” said Ms Antonellos.
This year’s Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show will run from 25th ‐ 29th March, 2015.

About Kids Under Cover
On any given night there are around 105,000 people living homeless across Australia, nearly half of whom are under 25. Kids Under Cover takes an early intervention approach to find solutions to issues in the lives of young people that puts them at‐risk of becoming homeless. Homeless young people are less likely to stay engaged with school, find jobs, get access to rental housing and maintain friendships. And, without the right support will struggle with homelessness their entire lives. Last year we assisted 550 disadvantaged young people bringing the total number assisted since 1989 to almost 3,000.
