ALI Group celebrates 15 years of protecting Australian home and property buyers
ALI Group marked its 15th anniversary with a cocktail function at the Park Hyatt in Melbourne on Friday, the 20th of July. This is the first of a series of events to be held in each major city around Australia to celebrate the milestone.
The company was founded in 2003 and has since partnered with major aggregators including Aussie Home Loans, Loan Market, Mortgage Choice, Connective and Plan Australia to name a few, allowing them to develop a network of 4,500 mortgage brokers Australia-wide. Through these authorised brokers, ALI Group has protected over 183,000 Australian home buyers from financial hardship, paying out over $90 million to claimants in their time of need.
The evening was hosted by Victorian comedian Lana Schwarcz, adding a comedic touch during a time where the mortgage broking industry is being scrutinized with the spotlight on brokers’ Responsible Lending obligations.
ALI Group National Sales Manager, Gabrielle Moscati opened the event, welcoming over 85 Victorian-based authorized mortgage brokers to the event. CEO, Huy Truong then took center stage giving an anecdotal recount of his humble beginnings in Australia as a Vietnamese refugee. He went on to outline some of the company’s achievements, challenges and changes during its 15 years in the market.
Truong also took an opportunity to congratulate some of the state’s high-achieving brokers who had protected over 500 and 1,000 customers. Robert Trewin and Angelo de Pasquale topped the awards each protecting over 1,000 Australian home buyers over their tenures as ALI Group-authorised brokers.
