Home Loan Protection Broker of the Year

Home Loan Protection Broker of the Year

The finalists for The Adviser’s Australian Broking Awards 2019 have been revealed ahead of what is set to be one of the biggest events of the year for the industry. Since 2011, the awards have recognised and celebrated outstanding individuals and businesses from within the mortgage and finance broking industry, showcasing those who work incredibly hard and remain dedicated to their client’s.

As a key supporter of The Adviser’s Australian Broking Awards 2019, we are proudly sponsoring the Home Loan Protection Broker of the Year award. The award itself makes a debut in this years’ awards and aims to spotlight the industry’s leading brokers who have made loan and mortgage protection a core part of their business.

We are thrilled to see the list of finalists this year, proving how a protection offering is becoming an important part of the entire broker and customer experience.

We are proud to highlight ALI’s own authorised brokers who have made loan and mortgage protection a critical and consistent part of their business and have been named as finalists of the award.

ALI Finalists:

Balpreet Bal, Loan Market
Darryl Bevan, Direct Financial
Michelle Goody, Easy Loans
Marina Lewis, Aussie
Ron Lloyd, Aussie
Jaime Savory, Gippsland Finance Solutions
Richard Wright, V Home Loans

Collectively, this group of authorised brokers highlighted above have protected over 1,360 clients from financial hardship – and that number grows by the day.

ALI Group’s CEO, Huy Truong says, “given the regulatory spotlight on the broker industry, we felt it was really important to sponsor this award to showcase that more brokers go above and beyond in the interest of their clients. These brokers believe responsible lending is not just about loan service when clients are healthy and working, but what happens if they are not.”

With research showing Australia as being one of the most underinsured nations in the developed world1  many Australian home and property buyers may not have adequate cover in place, should something unexpected occur. As we have learnt first-hand from our claim testimonials by policyholders, if their broker never discussed the risks with them, or the importance of having a back-up plan in place for those “what do I do now” moments, then they would probably would have had to sell their home or other assets to make ends meet.

Loan and mortgage protection is the added peace of mind for Australian’s entering large debt and it could be the difference between someone who is already going through intense personal pressure, from losing the home they worked so hard to buy.
