Mother's Day - Recognising the balance

Mother's Day - Recognising the balance

Sunday 12 May is Mother’s Day – a day to celebrate and honour the mother’s or mother figures, including stepmothers, relatives, guardians or close family friends, both passed and present, who make our lives better with all the love and care they provide us.

Here at ALI Group, we are fortunate to have some wonderful mothers who work hard every day to balance both home and work life. We’d like to pay homage to some hard-working brokers and mothers we partner with below:

Peita Davies, NSW, realestate.com.au Home Loans

Once a single mother at the age of 27, with three young daughters to provide for, looking to start again, with no money, no home and in debt, Peita had no knowledge of where life was going to take her. Fast forward 20 years and now Peita is the picture of success in the broking industry. With an impressive investment property portfolio and business owner, Peita is using her own experiences and knowledge to help people the way she wished someone had been able to help her.

Jaime Savory, VIC, Choice

Jaime is a business woman, mortgage broker, owner and director of Gippsland Finance solutions and what’s more, Jaime is a mother of three young boys! When Jaime started her own business, the expectation was to work only three to four days, so she could be present with her young family. Quickly that changed to full-time and over time her family made the decision to have her husband be home with the children whilst Jaime tackled the growing workload.

Leah Busby, SA, Blackfish Finance

If you ever thought the age old saying that women are the best multitaskers, might not be true then you must read this profile about award winning broker, Leah Busby. Leah is the owner of the bustling Blackfish Finance and is a doting mum to a five-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy. Leah’s passions in life are her family and being a great mum. So much so, 12 months ago Leah moved her entire business from the city to the coast, so she could be closer to home and focus more on her family.

Michelle Harvey, VIC, MoneyQuest

Michelle Harvey is a self-confessed workaholic and as Principal of MoneyQuest Ringwood, Sponsor of Ringwood District Cricket Association, Kilsyth Cricket Club, Free Jumping Castles Yarra Ranges, and not to mention, being a mum to a little boy. Well, we believe her. By working as a mobile broker, Michelle can find the perfect balance between work and home life and having enough flexibility, so she doesn’t have to miss out on precious time with her little boy. You can find this super mum at her local shopping centre on a Saturday morning handing out branded shopping bags and balloons to generate more business.
