ALI Group partners with The Otis Foundation to help support those affected by breast cancer

ALI Group every year supports several charities and causes related to health and illness. In May 2021, ALI announced that The Otis Foundation (‘Otis’) would be its core Charity partner for the next 3 years. Otis is dedicated to providing retreat accommodation across Australia to individuals and families impacted by breast cancer.

The charity, since its inception in the year 2000, has worked to provide this free service, which allows families and friends to get together, relax, reenergise and make lasting memories, at no cost.

ALI Group’s partnership with Otis will allow more Australians diagnosed with breast cancer to have a welcomed break from gruelling treatments, the ongoing stresses and side effects.

ALI Group CEO, Huy Truong, says ALI is committed to donating funds for at least 500 retreat nights per year over the life of the partnership.

“Each year, over 20,000 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer¹, which is why we aim to support Otis in increasing their retreat nights to help fast track the hundreds of women and men on their waitlist. With the help of the broker community, we are also hoping to encourage holiday property owners to donate a few nights a year to Otis’s guests so they can better cope with the physical, psychological and emotional trauma that comes with breast cancer”, says Truong.

Otis gifts over 3,500 nights of accommodation each year with support from the community. During the month of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month, ALI Group have proudly launched a campaign where for every My Protection Plan policy established, ALI will donate one night of retreat accommodation to Otis.

Since the beginning of October, with great support from ALI authorised brokers, over 289 nights of accommodation have already been donated.

The Otis Foundation Chief Executive Officer, Claire Culley, expressed her gratitude towards ALI Group, stating ‘’I am truly humbled by ALI’s generous contribution to support us in providing more retreat accommodation to individuals experiencing breast cancer. This gives our guests the gift of time and space, helping them to reconnect and take a break with their loved ones.”
