ALI Group expands Business Development Team across Australia

10 February 2022 – ALI Group, the leading provider of financial protection to Australian home and property buyers has announced the expansion of its nationwide Business Development Team across various states.

The ALI Group Business Development team work closely with brokers and aggregator partners across Australia, supporting brokers to help add real value to their businesses and educate their clients on the risks associated with borrowing and the potential solutions they can offer.

Gabrielle Moscati, ALI’s National Sales Manager says,

“We are very fortunate to have a great team that has been with ALI for many years. Their passion for what we do is evident and a key factor in that longevity. It’s been wonderful to see Shelley and Fiona move on to broader roles. I am confident with the support of our existing and newly appointed BDMs even more brokers will become comfortable in discussing risks and protection with their clients.

Shelley Simpson has been with ALI for almost seven years. Previously State Manager for NSW/ACT she has recently been appointed as State Manager for NSW, QLD and the ACT. Shelley says,

“I look forward to uniting the teams from NSW, QLD and ACT to help them learn from each other, thereby providing more support to our network of brokers to help them ensure their clients consider how to protect themselves and their families from financial hardship”.

Further changes to the NSW team include new starter Sayah Rowles, whom has been in the insurance industry for over 16 years. Sayah brings with her a wealth of knowledge and a fresh, energised and focused attitude ready to support her portfolio of brokers.

Fiona Gray, State Manager for SA and the NT also recently expanded her role to include WA. Fiona has welcomed three new BDMs over the past few months.

Darren Bridges and Shaun Brij have joined the SA and NT team and Sue Burling is now working alongside Leah Hutchings, supporting brokers in WA .

Darren’s background is enriched with experience in financial planning. After completing the relevant studies, Darren worked for a big four bank as a financial adviser for 15 years. More recently, Darren completed his diploma in mortgage broking and spent time as a mortgage broker. Darren’s experience and insight in understanding risk insurance and mortgage broking will be a great asset to the brokers within SA/NT.

Shaun has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and has worked in both commercial banking and residential lending where he was a senior lending consultant for seven years. Shaun has many years of experience offering ALI’s protection plan to his own clients and is able to bring this unique expertise with him into this new role. Shaun says,

“It’s great to come from an organisation like Homestart that is passionate about helping South Australians live out their dreams of home ownership, to now joining ALI, who are equally as passionate about protecting borrowers from financial hardship and keeping them in those homes”.

Sue Burling, who has joined the high performing WA team, brings over 20 years of experience in banking and insurance. Sue is incredibly passionate about making a contribution to the education of Australians on what insurance can do for them during their time of need.

Furthermore, ALI have welcomed a dedicated BDM for the Tasmania market, Keridan Taylor. Keridan has been in the financial services industry, particularly Bendigo Bank for many years and brings a vast knowledge and expertise to the team.

Dinh Robley, State Manager for VIC and TAS says,

“With the growth of the Tasmania market and the success that Tasmanian brokers have had in protecting their clients against financial hardship, it was the right time for ALI to bring on a dedicated and local Tassie BDM to support brokers even more”.

ALI Group is thrilled to welcome such experienced and talented team members who have already hit the ground running ready to work closely with their portfolio of brokers.
