‘What a way to start 2023!’ ALI Group announces the results of Win a Year’s Worth of Free Groceries

With cost-of-living top of mind, many Aussie consumers are eagerly looking for new ways to save. At the same time, rising costs may also mean that some homeowners could feel tempted to forgo personal risk insurance which protects them and their families in the event of a serious life event such as cancer, specified injury, or death. 
 
But the need for protection remains. After all, death and morbidity rates don't decrease during tough economic times. Moreover, homeowners may be more exposed to financial hardship, as their ability to build on or draw upon emergency funds is hindered by the increasing demands on their wallets. 
 
That's why ALI Group developed Extra Benefits, a customer rewards program designed to help ALI customers make cost savings on groceries, petrol and a range of other goods and services, so that they don't have to make a difficult trade-off between forgoing protection and meeting everyday expenses. 
 
To foster greater customer and broker awareness of Extra Benefits and the savings that could be made in the program, ALI Group launched "Win a Year's Worth of Free Groceries”, a competition offering both new and existing ALI Group customers the chance to win one of four prizes of $10,000 in Coles or Woolworths supermarket eGift cards – enough to cover the cost of the annual grocery spend of the average Aussie household*. Close to 1,400 ALI Group customers qualified for the draw and four winners were drawn from the pool in January 2023.

In 2022, ALI Group ramped up investment in the Extra Benefits program, ensuring that the program offered genuine savings for its customers, including a flagship discount of 7.5% off select leading supermarket eGift cards. As a result, the program has seen a marked increase in engagement by ALI customers and authorised brokers alike. More than $7.1m worth of goods was purchased via Extra Benefits in 2022, netting customers more than $470,000 in savings. For some ALI Group customers, these savings have helped offset some or all the cost of their annual premiums.
