ALI Group pledges $25 for every new male policy in the name of men’s health

1/11/2019

ALI Group have partnered with Movember to raise much needed funds towards men’s health.

The leading provider of loan and mortgage protection have pledged to donate $25 for each new male policy taken out in the month of November through an ALI authorised mortgage broker.

ALI hopes to raise over $15,000 for the the men's health charity, whilst raising awareness and educating Australians on the health risks men face and how best to mitigate them.

Globally, men are dying on average six years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons1

ALI is proud to partner with Movember, the leading charity tackling prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention on a global scale.

Movember funds ground-breaking men's health projects all over the world - 1,250 and counting.

According to the charity's own research, men’s health is in crisis. One in six Australian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Testicular cancer is the most common cancer among young Australian men and 3 out of 4 suicides in Australia are men.

Huy Truong, ALI Group CEO says, “we are rallying support from brokers to ensure they continue having strong conversations with their clients about their protection needs. Having the face-to-face conversation with clients entering a large debt is the optimal time to ask the questions: how would you or your family financially manage if you fell seriously ill, or even passed away? Would you be able to meet mortgage repayments, medical bills, whilst still affording general living expenses? These simple questions bring vulnerable financial areas to the surface and can be the reason a broker client avoids financial hardship during a difficult time”.

ALI turned pink during the month of October, partnering with Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) to raise vital funding for breast cancer and those affected by the disease. By donating $25 for each new female policy taken out with a mortgage broker, and through various fundraisers during the month, ALI has raised $15,096 – which will go directly to BCNA.
